Salt of the Earth Association is an organisation dedicated to sustaining the fragile Christian presence in Jenin governorate. In this region of the Holy Land, there are now only three hundred Christians left, scattered across several villages.
Salt of the Earth Christian Youth has a simple mission:
-
To gather the remaining Christians together for worship,
-
To support families struggling to remain in their ancestral home,
-
And to bring hope to the young people of Jenin.
In a cultural setting where being young, Christian and Palestinian is often to be invisible or forgotten, Salt of the Earth provides a community where youth can bloom and grow: in confidence, friendship and faith.

holy land harvest + pilgrim planner
Salt of the Earth have developed a two-part business model focused on job creation and long-term economic sustainability for young people in Jenin and throughout the West Bank.
The first part is a social enterprise—selling produce typical to Palestine such as herbs, dates and olive oil. Their own talent, artwork and photography have been used to produce a signature collection of greeting cards, posters and prayer cards. All of which promotes the vibrant Palestinian culture of the Holy Land and the essential role of Christianity with it.
The second part is a longer-term vision: a travel coordination model for Holy Land tourism that connects visitors directly with locally owned business, guides and accommodation. It will immerse pilgrims in the local community making their visit more affordable, authentic, and beneficial to the economy of the West Bank.
Both parts form a scalable model: creating immediate employment while promoting Palestinian culture and building a sustainable future for youth in the region.
